Description
Roundtrip is a digital logbook for NSW learner drivers that replaces the NSW paper logbook and makes recording practice incredibly easy and fun.
The app automatically captures practice time, location, and weather data. Learners can track NSW learning goals and bonus hours — like the 3-for-1 accredited instruction credit — and notify Transport for NSW when they're ready to sit their P's driving test.
Roundtrip won the NSW Learner Driver Logbook Innovation Challenge.
History
Eat More Pixels were one of the winners of the NSW Learner Driver Logbook Innovation Challenge in October 2016. The team entered an incubation phase with Transport for NSW, launching the app in September 2017. They also completed Y Combinator's Startup School Online program.
Co-founder Dr Zac Fitz-Walter originally created a gamified logbook app as part of his PhD research into how game elements encourage diverse driving practice and safer drivers. Roundtrip is the evolution of that work.
